Since the author of the idea of the project was a representative of Turkey and many students and teachers were from Turkey, we decided to study and introduce the history of Gurcu Khatun to our friends. Gurji Khatun, the grandson of King Tamar. At the age of 13, she was betrothed to the 17-year-old Sultan of Rum, Ghias ud-din Kaikhushru II, Sultan of Konia. It was very interesting to learn about Sabiha Gokcen's story. We looked for information about his childhood, career and last years from different sources. We virtually visited the airport named after him.
